Plenty of Great Options
If you are new to the area, you might not know what to get. And when you see the menu, it can be tough narrowing down the fresh food and tasty plates to just a few! But we have our favorites that are must-haves during your first visit to Flavio’s Brick Oven Pizza & Bar in Siesta Key.
Of course, if you come here, you NEED to try the best pizza in Siesta Key. We recommend getting the Pizza Vegetariana with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and roasted vegetables to split with the table. Or you can try a meat-lovers pizza, like the Pizza Carnivora with ham, sausage, and pepperoni.
After starting the meal with a tasty pizza fresh out of the brick oven, we recommend splitting one of the other appetizers, like the Bruschette Al Pomodoro with grilled crostini bread, fresh tomato, and garlic. You can also get the fritto misto with calamari, shrimp, zucchini, and marinara sauce to taste some of the best seafood in the entire state!
Once you decide to continue on to the entree portion of the meal, you will be overwhelmed with all of the salad, meat, seafood, and pasta options. Our favorite pasta dishes are the Gnocchi alla Bolognese with meat sauce, Linguine alla Vongole with fresh clams, Pappardelle Ai Porcini with imported porcini mushrooms, and the Fettuccine Pesto e Pollo with creamy pesto sauce and grilled chicken.
For seafood lovers, there are a few standout dishes here. We recommend getting the Salmone al Burro Bianco with lemon sauce, Dentice alla Livornese with fresh red snapper, Gamberoni Oreganata with large shrimp and baked breadcrumbs, or the Grigliata Di Mare with scallops, shrimp, and lemon garlic sauce.
Another fun time to come here is during happy hour! If you are not in the mood for a huge Italian feast, head here any day between 4 pm and 6 pm to enjoy drink specials and small plates. Grab a house wine for just $7 or try one of the specialty cocktails for $11.
